It is our mission to change this for good.
We are currently overseeing the installation of a 6MW ground mounted solar farm which will be in operation by the end of 2023, improving Nauru’s Renewable Energy production from 12% to 48%.
Our goal is to reach 100% Renewable Energy production by 2030.
What we’re doing to create change
We have secured funding and support options for businesses and individuals, including a fund for Energy Efficient Appliances, Low Carbon Fund (LCF) and LED Lighting Fund.
With the NEEDS Project, we are promoting the benefits of energy efficiency to help the people of Nauru reduce their electricity usage and reliance on imported diesel.
We have coordinated the introduction of the mandatory energy performance labelling (MEPL) and minimum energy performance standards (MEPS) legislation for appliances.
